
The Supervisory Board of AS Ekspress Grupp has elected Rain Sarapuu as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer and Management Board member, effective October 1, 2025, with a term until September 30, 2028.
Rain Sarapuu brings to Ekspress Grupp extensive and diverse experience in finance. He has served as CFO in various sectors – at TREV-2 Grupp AS (part of Vinci/Eurovia group), Kiviõli Keemiatööstus OÜ (Alexela group), and in the international management of Wolf Group/Krimelte. Sarapuu holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Tallinn University of Technology. His diverse professional experience spans banking, manufacturing, construction, and energy sectors.
“Rain Sarapuu’s strong background in finance enables him to make a significant contribution to the development of Ekspress Grupp. Rain’s joining is supported by his experience working in several international companies and understanding the role of a holding company. This will in turn contribute to achieving Ekspress Grupp’s strategic objectives,” said Mari-Liis Rüütsalu, Chairman of the Management Board of Ekspress Grupp.
The current CFO and Management Board member of AS Ekspress Grupp, Lili Kirikal, will leave her position at her own request on September 30, 2025, to take up a position as Group Finance Director at Bolt Operations OÜ. Lili Kirikal has fulfilled the duties of the group’s CFO and Management Board member since January 30, 2025.
Starting from October 1, 2025, the Management Board of AS Ekspress Grupp will operate with three members: Mari-Liis Rüütsalu (Chairman of the Board), Karl Anton, and Rain Sarapuu.
AS Ekspress Grupp is the leading media group in the Baltic States, whose activities include online media content production and the publishing of newspapers, magazines, and books. The group also manages an electronic ticketing platform and ticket sales points, and provides digital outdoor screen services in Estonia and Latvia. Additionally, the group’s companies organize conferences, trainings, and events primarily in Estonia and Lithuania, but also in Latvia. Ekspress Grupp began its operations in 1989 and employs approximately one thousand people.
